Primarily a PHP Developer for the company, but the use of heavy Javascript is also a day to day requirement. I work with teams to produce medium to large sites. Work with clients at times to meet about the status of sites that I'm working on at that time. Also, part of an internal team to develop internal products.

  • Worked with the Symfony PHP framework heavily
  • Used YUI Javascript library daily
  • Added Javascript Ajax interfaces to project after the first-pass build
  • Used Doctrine, a PHP database ORM

Blowtorch Entertainment

Involved in online product development for the film company. Products range from interactive user driven communities to Flash widgets that served specific purposes. The team I worked with also developed a platform with scalability and front-end independence as a key focus. The environment was usually fast paced with a lot of team based work.

  • Worked with Drupal modules and themes heavily
  • Delved into YUI Javascript and CSS frameworks
  • Helped choose the Zend Framework as the primary PHP library
  • Built out a series of database class's in PostgreSQL and Object Oriented PHP
  • Actionscript 3.0 and object oriented programing methods used for Flash widgets

Hyperlocal Media

While working at Hyperlocal Media I was involved in a variety of projects. My first responsibility was tweaking, launching, managing and expanding the Buffalo Rising web site. After the site was stable, we moved to some agency work, including an Imbee.com redesign.

  • Developed PHP in a CakePHP mvc environment
  • Developed javascript in MooTools, Prototype, and jQuery
  • Worked Movable Type 4 to build the company site

  • Since 2004 I've been involved with projects that have develop important self management skills. Such skills include (but are not limited to) time management, small server configuration, client relations, and the ability to accurately represent what I am capable of. It is important not to over sell yourself so your capable of following through on promises.
