This was built out in the Zend framework and takes advantage of the clients request headers to determine if the request is ajax or from an iPhone. If ajax, the window is animated and the content is updated on the fly, otherwise the page if reloaded with the same content, this is for usability and SEO advantages. If the visitor is on an iPhone, the page is served up without attempting the iframe-remote-control and drag-able window, and instead a more usable layout is delivered to the viewer. All javascript is from the Yahoo User Interface library.

Worked with a small team of developers and designers to rework a social network geared towards kids. Reworked involved a front end redesign, backed functionality changes, and a hand full of feature additions. My primary focus was front end markup, css, and javascript and viewer usability issues. Secondary for me was helping with the existing back end to deliver the data to the new front end. Had to be usable for a very specific and generally young audience.

The site was passed over to me early 2007 close to completion but with much work still to be done. Optimizing the code base, re-designing the navigation / sidebar, and building out the events section were a few of the tasks I was involved with heavily. Managing the site and working with the BRO crew on a daily basis to help keep the content flowing, along with tweaking back end procedures, functionality and maintaining the server / email side of things kept this a full time job for a while even after launch.

I worked on this site while at Digicon. This site is clean, crisp, and to the point. I worked from a designers static design and built it out into a multi-page site. While there was a design I had to stick with, I was responsible for making sure the site was accessible and legible. This included keeping the layout consistent and the navigation intuitive. Built on: asp, xhtml, css.

I worked on this site while at Digicon. There needed to be 3 tiers of access, public viewers, members, and admins. Each tier would have different access. In the end the client can update almost any aspect of this site, and also upload images, newsletters, and tournament results via the admin pages while keeping the site design intact. I was in charge of customizing the site to create a unique feel to a visitor´s experience. A key challenge involved was keeping the old functionality intact while customizing the site. It was rewarding to customize this site successfully. Built on php, html, css, x-cart.

For my capstone I teamed up with a small team to create an interactive and informative kiosk. It would be used to back a study by presenting information and then testing the viewer to see how much information they retained. I was in charge of the front end flash interface, the look and feel, and the actionscript behind it all. It was important to track usability data also, so that we could improve the user's experience in the future. All data is captured via actionscript and then sent to a mysql database for permeant storage. Build on Flash, ActionScript, PHP, MySQL.
